Labs have dominated supreme as the number one pick for more than quarter of a century now. But there are a few surprises among the ranks. 1) Afghan Hound

At 27 inches tall, with lean muscles and huge paw-pads acting as natural shock exploiter these beautiful animals were life-saving, stalwart companions to the Afghan people for centuries.
